CLINICAL STUDENT ROTATIONS

People’s Center Clinics & Services is pleased to confirm that we are currently accepting applications for clinical student rotations across various departments, including Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health.  We are committed to fostering a supervised learning environment where students can translate classroom knowledge into high-quality patient care.

How to Apply for a Student Rotation

To ensure a smooth onboarding process, all applicants and their home institutions must adhere to the following steps.  Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee placement.

1. Application Requirements

  • Affiliation Agreement: A current, signed Clinical Affiliation Agreement must be in place between the student’s home school/program and our facility before any rotation can be approved.

  • Preceptor Identification: Some programs require students to identify a sponsoring preceptor and department coordinator prior to submitting an official application.

  • Academic Standing: Students must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled in an accredited professional program (e.g., MD, DO, PA, NP, or Nursing).

2. Required Documentation

Applicants must submit an application online via www.peoples-center.org.  The application will require the following:

  • Application Form: Including rotation dates (top choices), specialty requested, and student contact information.

  • Confirmation of Readiness: A letter from the school verifying the student has completed necessary training (e.g., HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens).

  • Health Records: Documentation of up-to-date immunizations (including Flu and COVID-19 as required) and TB screening.

  • Insurance: Proof of medical malpractice and liability insurance coverage. $1000,000 for each claim and a $3000,000 annual aggregate.

  • Background Check: Attestation of a clear background check.

3. Submission Process

  1. Online Portal/Email: Most applications should be submitted via www.peoples-center.org.

  2. Timeline: Applications should be received no less than 28 days (or 4 weeks) prior to the requested start date.

  3. Approval: Once all documents are reviewed, the facility will notify the student and their program coordinator of the approval status.

4. Post-Approval Requirements

Once accepted, students must complete facility-specific onboarding, which may include:

  • Orientation Modules: Online education or orientation manuals.

  • System Access: Requests for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Epic training.

  • Badging: Identity verification for facility ID badges.

  • Safety Policy Agreements.
