People’s Center has stood as a beacon of hope in the global community of Cedar-Riverside - a neighborhood that has long been the first stop for new Americans…from the Scandinavians in the 1800s to the East African citizens today.

Patients from across Minnesota come to People’s Center for health and wellness services. 

62% of patients come from target service areas, including the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis.

We work with over 40 community partners and funders to transform the health of our patients and families we serve. 

How we measure our success

Through the quality healthcare we provided.

  • 72% of patients managed their diabetes with hemoglobin A1C level of less than 9%.

  • 46% of patients with asthma had an individualized treatment to better manage their symptoms.

  • 95% of patients screened for tobacco use and received education and resources to quit (if they smoked).

  • 85% of patients were screened for depression.

  • 34% of eligible children received a dental exam, education and fluoride varnish to help promote good oral hygiene and prevent tooth decay.

Through feedback from our patients.

  • 91% of our patients are satisfied with the information they receive from their providers.

  • 93% of our patients say that our Medical Assistants and Nurses listen to them.

  • 90% of our patients say that our front desk is friendly and helpful.

  • 90% of our patients are satisfied with their ability to schedule an appointment.

  • 96% of our patients find the lobby and waiting areas comfortable and clean.
