We’re thrilled to announce that People’s Center Clinics & Services has been awarded $1 million in federal, congressionally directed funding to support our renovated clinic in Cedar-Riverside! Thank you to Representative Ilhan Omar, Senators Tina Smith and Amy Klobuchar, and our numerous partners for helping bring this to reality.

We completed our goal of raising a total of $6,875,000 and execute the renovation in 2022.
Our current building has a long history, there was even a theater here once! Purchased in 1970 by a group of dedicated university students, it has served as a beacon of health for the historically immigrant population here for over 50 years. People from Somalia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Mexico, and so many others have found providers who treat their health as a priority here.
Originally serving several hundred patients, we now see almost 30,000 patient visits a year! In order to keep our promise to the community, to serve the full patient regardless of their ability to pay, and in the languages that they speak, we need to make some big changes.
To do that, we’re redesigning our entire building and adding new services throughout! We’re adding a new dental clinic, a new pediatrics and women’s health center, new rooms for behavioral health visits, and much more. Local artists will be adorning our walls with pieces that connect art to community, and the new design will give patients an easier time navigating our facility.
