 Federally Qualified Health Centers Work Differently

We at People’s Center want to work with you to achieve better health at a cost that works for you and your family. We have programs to make the services you receive more affordable, more convenient, and more transparent. We accept all major insurance plans, offer a sliding fee discount program, and provide flexible monthly payment plans. Our supportive services and quality improvement team work hard to make sure these programs are available to all patients and stay up to date. These programs include:

Sliding Scale

Our sliding fee discount program provides discounts on out-of-pocket patient expenses that meet state, local and federal requirements. All patients are eligible to apply for sliding fee discount program.

In the event patients are uninsured or under-insured and are not willing to apply for discounts on services, they will be expected to pay for the full costs of services and out of pocket expenses. People’s Center offers several vehicles to assist patients with the payment on their balances and payment plans. In addition, all patients will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with Financial Counselors to determine a payment program that best suits the your needs. No one is turned away due to an inability to pay for services. You can sign up for a payment plan as low as $10/month. Sliding Scale

 

We want you to have an easy, streamlined way to see your results and pay your bills. That’s why we use MyChart.

Signing up for MyChart is incredibly easy and will give you access to not only online billing, but real-time updates on test results, and direct communication with your physicians!

Signing up for mychart:

First you need your Patient Activation Code. To get your code, call us or ask your provider during your next check-up! Then you’ll need to follow the below instructions depending on whether you want to access the site on mobile or on desktop.

+ Desktop

  1. Once you have your activation code, go to the MyChart web app and click the "Sign Up Now" button on the right hand side of your screen.
  2. Complete all registration tasks as prompted. If you need help with any registration tasks,including interpretation, feel free to call us at 612-332-4973 for anything you need.

+ Mobile

  1. First, download the app to your mobile device: Here you can find the IOS Version and the Android Version
  2. Next choose the United States as your country of service
  3. Then, under the dropdown list of service providers select OCHIN. This is the service that People's Center uses to connect to MyChart
  4. Lastly, fill in the blanks and follow the prompts as required. You'll be asked to give that patient activation code during this section so be sure to keep it handy!
  5. You're all done! Now sign into your account. If you forget your user name or password remember to use the "forgot password" and "forgot username" functions on the sign in page. If you're having trouble just give us a call and we will help you out!

Once you’re signed up, navigate to the “pay your bill” section of the patient portal to complete your payments!
