Leadership Change at People's Center Clinics & Services

Minneapolis | April 10, 2018  People’s Center Clinics & Services (PCCS) begins their search for the next Chief Executive Officer as current CEO Sahra Noor leaves her role, effective April 13, 2018.

“I am excited about what’s ahead, for me and for People’s Center. I love this community and I am so proud of the integrated care model we are putting in place to serve our patients in the ways they need, all under one roof,” said Noor. “The People’s Center team is unmatched in their commitment to providing the highest quality care to all our patients. I am grateful to all the partners and funders who supported our work during my time here, and I look forward to hearing about all the great things that will result from the expansion underway.”

“Sahra has transformed People’s Center into a nationally-recognized community-based center for health and wellness. Her energy, innovative approach and tenacity have advanced our standing in our region’s health ecosystem, bringing new sources of support to serving patients,” said Ann Rogers, Chair of the People’s Center Board of Directors. “We’re in terrific shape. We have a strong leadership team and staff; a committed Board; a dedicated patient base; and, a solid expansion plan that is well on its way toward completion. It’s a great time for a new leader to step into the role and shape our next innovations. We’re fortunate to have engaged Ariella Tilsen to serve as Interim CEO, a role she held during our last leadership transition as Sahra took the helm.”

Ariella Tilsen, MA, has worked with several of Minnesota’s Federally Qualified Health Centers since 2002, serving as both interim CEO for People’s Center and interim Associated Executive Director for Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC) in 2014. In 2017, she served as interim Mental Health Director for CUHCC. As a strategic change consultant, facilitator and coach, she has worked with other health-related and community-based NGOs and organizations, both nationally and internationally. She is also part of the community faculty for the Global Health in Local Context course through the University of Minnesota’s Center for Global and Health Social Responsibility.

The People’s Center Clinics & Services Board of Directors is committed to conducting a robust national search to find its next CEO and has engaged Cincinnatus as its search partner.
