The People's Center Theater is a dynamic 75-100 seat theater venue in the heart of the West Bank. The space is ready to accommodate theatrical productions including plays and musicals, dance and music concerts, lectures or workshops. Formerly home to such companies as Joking Apart, Mary Worth, Pig’s Eye, MN Shakespeare Project, and others, its history dates back to the 1970's when it was home to the longest running Women's Theater Company in the US, At the Foot of the Mountain. The space is currently booking through 2011.

ABOUT THE THEATER

The stage is wide and deep but close enough to the audience for the most intimate play in performance.

• The stage measures 21 feet deep x 35 feet across
• Seating capacity: 70-100
• There are two railed-in balconies on either end of the stage

LOCATION

Located in the heart of the West Bank on the corner of Riverside and 20th Avenue in the Cedar Riverside People's Center. The theatre is located through the doors on the west side of the building, and up to the third floor. Handicapped accessible.

THEATER RATES

Weekly

• Base rate: $750
• Additional $400 refundable damage deposit
• Additional on-site staff fee of $20/hour for performance
  times only

One Day Events/Performances

• Base weekday rate (Sun-Thu): $200/5 hours,
  $45 each additional hour
• Base weekend rate (Fri or Sat): $250/5 hours,
  $45 each additional hour
• Additional $50 refundable damage deposit
• On-site staff fee INCLUDED

Full Weekends

• Base 3 day, 5 hours/day (Thu-Sat or Fri-Sun): $600
• Additional $400 refundable damage deposit
• On-site staff fee INCLUDED

Classes

• Base weekday rate until 4pm: $15/hour
• Base weekday evening rate after 4pm: $20/hour
• Base weekend rate: $25/hour
• Additional $50-$400 refundable damage deposit

Rehearsals

• Base weekday rate until 4pm: $12/hour
• Base weekday evening rate after 4pm: $15/hour
• Base weekend rate: $20/hour
• Additional $50-$400 refundable damage deposit

PARKING
Parking is available on the street (free after 6PM) or in the parking ramp on the north side of the building.
