The former 13P playwright’s contemporary tale starring Brodie, a gifted linguist and single-mom-to-be-by-choice contemplates tough questions when Brodie finds that the baby she’s carrying will never be able to communicate via language. Failing to receive comfort from her young girlfriend, she finds connection in unlikely new friends–namely an ape at her local zoo, and Cleva–the last known speaker of a dying language.

Gadfly Theatre Productions is currently in their fourth season of queer and feminist art. The company provides an artistic haven for audiences and artists alike; a place to explore, create, and open safe dialogues about LGBTQIA* and feminisft issues. Gadfly breaks binaries and establishes community, seeking to prove that all persons on the spectrum deserve a voice, a stage, and a story they can relate to. Gadfly Theatre Productions produces three-four shows per year, with audiences coming from all walks of life to see the company’s work.
